Attention, bulb rockers! PSE’s Rock the Bulb Tour hit a milestone this past weekend in Oak Harbor. Between our Tour events and Project Porchlight’s community outreach efforts, PSE has now given away over 200,000 CFL bulbs since the tour began! Great job, everyone! If you haven’t participated yet and are a PSE residential electric customer, be sure to come out and exchange some bulbs of your own. Also, be sure to spread the word to family and friends so they can get in on the energy savings too! As of today, our Rock the Bulb totals are:
- 227,785 incandescent bulbs exchanged for CFL bulbs
- 52,618,335 kWh of electricity saved
- $9,794,755 saved on energy bills
- 57,880,168 lbs of greenhouse gas emissions avoided
- Equivalent to 4,808 cars off the road
With so much bulb rocking going on lately, we’ll be taking a break for Labor Day weekend, but don’t worry, we’ll be back on the road next week with an event in Mt. Vernon September 12 and 13, 10 AM to 4 PM each day.
Stay tuned, we’ll be back before you know it!

May I exchange 10 bulbs at the Mt Vernon event, even though I already did so at the Anacortes event?? Or is 10 the limit?
Thanks for rocking the bulb, Corinne! There is a limit of 10 bulbs per PSE customer/household. Check out today’s Rock the Bulb email or blog post for other ways to participate!
