Rocking the Bulb, Peninsula Style

Next Stop: Bremerton

Hey Bulb Rockers! Thank you to everyone who came out to our first Kitsap Peninsula tour stop last weekend! Over the weekend, more than 1,000 PSE residential electric customers exchanged over 9,000 incandescent bulbs for new, energy-efficient CFL bulbs!

So far, the Rock the Bulb Tour has:

  • Exchanged over 73,000 incandescent bulbs for new CFL bulbs
  • Saved over 12.7 million kWh of electricity
  • Saved more than $2.3 million on energy bills
  • Prevented greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to taking over 1,100 cars off the road for a year

If you’re a PSE residential electric customer and you missed us last weekend, don’t worry! We’ll be at the Lowe’s in Bremerton this weekend (August 8 and 9, 10:00 AM-4:00 PM each day). Look for us under the parking lot tent.

Great work to all of our bulb rockers so far and to those about to rock–we salute you!

Golden Bulb Clues of the Day

The elusive Golden Bulb is still at large! Be the first to find a Golden Bulb and you could win a $250 Lowe’s or Ace Hardware gift card! Follow us on twitter or Facebook for daily clues. Today’s clues are:

  • I’ve found another opportunity to receive free bulbs, but this kind is better for your yard than your light fixtures.
  • I’m trying to fathom all the fun I could be having during the summer festival in this city.

Happy bulb hunting!
